Threads Of Scarlett. The Coming Together.
The Bajan music landscape is about to officially welcome another set of Barbados
most gifted, versatile, and promising band, Threads of Scarlet. The band, led by
sons of the soil Nick Ward and Jesse Foster, is about to finally put the groups
toiling, training, triumphs and tears into a much anticipated track.
After years of pumping out solid tunes for the live audiences here, the team is
headed to the studio to record its first locally released track. The tune, yet
to be named, is to be produced by CMI Entertainment.
Nick and Jesse are known faces here on the music circuit, as members of the
Substance Band, which has toured the island steadily over the years, developing
a credible reputation of being on-point live performers. Now the band has
evolved somewhat into Threads of Scarlet, featuring two other experienced and
noted international band members. They are Studman the drummer from New York,
and Mark Glinka from Ohio on Bass. Nick and Jesse continue to do vocals and have
morphed into virtual powerhouses with the acoustic guitar, spreading the brand
of music the band calls
Progressive Acoustic Rock.
Were just testing out the waters here, so we decided to put track out now,
explains Nick. We basically just regrouped here, so this is the beginning. We
have been writing for a long time and this is another part of the journey.
The team has an inspiring story to tell, about the highs and lows to be
experienced in the music business, and even in life itself. Several of these
tales have been documented in song, as well as dozens more from other peoples
experiences. The band feels that this personal side to their music has more
relevance and should fall warmly into the hearts of the listening public.
We find that when you write about life and personal stuff more people can relate
to itit finds a place with them, explains Jesse, Nick adds, we see the potential
for these songs to stand up to others and to the test of time.
