Another Pyramid Entertainment artiste has signed an endorsement deal with the eyewear and apparel giant Oakley. Guyanese born, Timeka Marshall is the company’s latest signing. Following on the huge success of her latest singles “All Night” and “Hush” Timeka has been creating quite a stir in the music industry as one of the Caribbean’s rising female stars.

As she gets ready to roll out yet another single “Feel Fah” which will feature dancehall star, Busy Signal one can be sure to see Timeka wearing the Oakley branded eyewear in what promises to be yet another sizzling music video from the young songstress.

Open Mic is set to kick off again on Thursday, June 18th , 2009 at Braddie’s Bar, Dover, Christ Church. After taking a short break to allow new title sponsors Banks Beer to rebrand the interior and exterior of Braddie’s Bar, the Open Mic event will now have a whole new look and feel when music lovers and artistes return to the homebase that gave several undiscovered talent an opportunity to hone their skills and showcase their talents to an appreciable audience.

During the last series, Pyramid Entertainment was so impressed with the raw talent displayed by dancehall/reggae artist Prosperity Yout that they flew him to Jamaica to record with Big Yard Music and the talented music producer Richard “Shams” Browne. This led to the recording of some very promising tracks set to debut on local radio stations within the next few months.

Veteran soca artiste Peter Ram is set to record a collaboration with songstress Jadine. Jadine, who hails from Montserrat, started her career as a songstress in 2003, and has quickly become one of the fastest rising stars in soca earning her two separate nominations as Best New Female Soca Artist in 2005 and again in 2008 for Best Groovy Soca Collaboration with Vincy soca artist Problem Child by the Soca Awards Committee. In 2009, she was the New England Urban Music Award winner of Best Caribbean Female Artist.

Jadine credits her family for first realizing her potential. When she was fourteen they forced her to sing at her aunt’s wedding. Delightfully laughing at the memory Jadine says, "I cried the whole time, but by the time I was eighteen, I was the queen of karaoke, you could not get a microphone out of my hands."
