Two-time Vincy soca monarch Skinny Fabulous received a grant from The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Tourism Authority in support of his first music video. The project will see a music video being created for his 2008 soca monarch winning track 'De Beast Leh Go'.

Skinny Fabulous has been making his presence felt in the soca arena over the last couple of years gaining regional and international popularity with songs including 'De Beast Leh Go' and 'Head Bad'.

Vincentian Tourism Minister Glen Beache describes the artiste as a rare and exceptional talent with a natural love for what he does.

"Vincy music has been some of the best in the region over the past four or five years in part due to Skinny Fabulous. This is the first time the Authority is providing such a grant but we see Skinny Fabulous' potential and will do everything in our power to ensure that his music is exposed in the region and beyond," explains Minister Beache. "This is his time. He is a quality entertainer originating from our shores and this grant provides the opportunity for Skinny Fabulous to showcase his talent and consequently further boost recognition for both himself and his homeland".

The video, recently shot in Jamaica and directed by Jay Will, is due for release later this month. When asked about the video's concept, Skinny Fabulous said that it will have a Thrilleresque feel to it with 'De Beast' weilding its tantric soca influence. My interest in seeing this video's premiere has certainly been piqued. Will keep you posted.
