Birthday celebrations for both the entertainer and the island of Barbados were the call of the night on the 29th November, 2008 last at the Base Nightclub in New York. Not only were Barbadians living in the city treated to extensive one on one time with their favorite artiste but they got to party with some of Barbados' most loved entertainers as Barbados celebrated its 42nd year of Independence.

Peter Coppin & MonstapieceMany braved the weather and arrived at the club ready to party with not only Rick but also Miguel, Edwin Yearwood of the band Krosfyah and DJ Peter Coppin of Monstapiece. Together they teamed up with DJ's Hardcore, Hypa Baje and Supa Roy to party with the birthday boy til 4 am the next morning. Always seeking to diversity his appeal and seek out new opportunities for building his brand, Lil Rick has now become the first Barbadian entertainer to host a birthday party outside of Barbados and by all reports it will not be his last.
